Beautiful Dahisar

Dahisar is the north western most suburb of Mumbai. Today it has a lot of greenery and fresh air. Our residents are blessed with beautiful scenery and mangroves all around.

Dahisar is so pretty

We also have many buildings which enjoy fresh cool breeze and oxygen due to the proximity of green mangrove forests.

Rare sight in Mumbai
Mangrove forests adjacent to Buildings.

The evening sun gave us a perfect photo op to capture the colours and beauty of our suburb.

Nature lovers paradise

God has blessed us with His wonderful creation! It’s so sad to see that we humans whom He has created in His image and likeness,, do not see it as our duty to reciprocate our love for Him by taking care of this awesome creation.

Beauty lies in the Eyes of the Beholder !! Not to be Touched.
God has planed many things for man, but the greedy desires
of men has changed the enviornment to dust.

Truly we are blessed with this awesome beauty, but sadly we will be destroyed if we fail to take care of this beauty.
So let’s get together to save this beauty from the DESTROYERS.

SAD,for me Dahisar I have seen
Dahisar was even more beautiful .You can only imagine. When there were no building where you live.
    The hillocks(from Dahivalli)
were full of dense had Kaju& mango tree,(some which you see inLIC stFrancis schoolcompound)
ended in to the Mangroves,& salt pans of mira road.
Sitting on the hills we watched the evening orange yellow sunsets, the sundipping into the green
mangroves turn dark. The peaceful silence was intrupted with hundreds of circling palmswift”s
call, heralding the homecoming & an end of of the day
We would return home climing up the temple hill, thru the karvanda jaungles
down broken rockey (nitches)steps, then thru the rice fields & a dusty soft mud road
    over a clean river
May be the pamswift were telling me ALLTHIS WILL GO,
    SAVOR IT as a memory.
    the home comming totheir nests
circling overhead heralding the the duskyhome coming

Iam gree fully with your comments. I grewup in Dahisar and the old bridge in navagaon was one such a scenic place. Watching sunsets from bhavdevi temple rock (the biggest original rock @ Dahisar) was a feast to the eyes. This was sometime in around 1982-84 times :) Now we have McD, Subway and a whole lot of new things… the past was truely natural beauty… the future is heading towards a glitzy materialistic yet engrossing world… need to embrace both with the changing times. I think having good socially responsible citizens would matter for betterment of Dahisar.

This is Parag and I leave in navagaon. I run Dahisar.com and i am very keen to have a team of members who can help blog about dahisar issues to even commercial opportunity of advertising and featured article writers. The site is free for all the social cause but need to pay the bills and keep it going and this is where the revenue to the site thru Ads and local deals is what i have planned for,

Please feel free to reach me at +91-8888658447 or email me at contact @ dahisar.com.

    Thank You
