Residents take grouse against Cong netas to Sonia

Mumbai: Attempts made by Congress politicians to stall the demolition of illegal shanties at Ganpat Patil Nagar in Dahisar on the 10th of January 2013 have not gone down well with residents.
Peeved Dahisar residents have written to Congress president Sonia Gandhi about how the party’s elected representatives tried to prevent the eviction of squatters on Thursday. “In 2009, we had written to Congress corporator Sheetal Mhatre regarding the proliferation of slums in Ganpat Patil Nagar,” said Harishchandra Pandey, chairperson of the New Link Road Residents Forum.

Illegal slums at Ganpat Patil Nagar damage environment and health of citizens
“The Congress stuck to their stand of protecting the slums. There were banners proclaiming the laying of paver blocks and installation of water connections. If this approach doesn’t change, they will lose out on their votes from residents of north Mumbai,” he added.
On Thursday, Mhatre questioned the accuracy of the survey of illegal slums conducted by the forest department. MP Sanjay Nirupam had asked for a survey to be conducted of those slums that were already in violation of the coastal regulatory zone (1) on mangrove land.

The Museums in Balboa park are generally between 5 and 15 dollars per person, a good deal especially considering some of the world famous exhibits your seeing.
Be warned, however, do not enter the bazaar if you are
not carrying serious cash and are ready to by something because they sell absolutely everything in there.
Thus you can still enjoy your smoke, whether you have a
three hose hookah or single hose hookah.
