On the 12th of February, 2 days before Valentine’s day, our Forum raised the following complaint:

This is to bring to your urgent notice that massacre of mangroves and reclamation of wetlands is underway at Dharma Nagar, Borivali West.

Simultaneously two sites are being reclaimed with no authority taking any action to stop this violation. 

The said site is barely 100 metres from the mangroves Cell office and about 500 metres from the MHB Colony Police Station. 

You are requested to ensure immediate action and undertake a site visit to know the scale of violations and follow up with restoration of the land to its original state.

Despite raising complaints with the authorities, the destruction and building of some buildings continued.

Hence we raised several more complaints.

The illegal activities continue brazenly with no fear of law. 

Authorities have not taken any action against this violation. Its a shame that even after  Complaint has been filed authorities are not acting.

It is not only dereliction of duty but also Contempt.
