The Supreme Court ordered Jayesh Shah [builder] and the Kamathia’s [actual land owners] to remove all debris and restore survey 344 to its original condition as it was on 10th January 2010. Inspite of the Judges allowing him sixty days to remove the debris he managed to dump in 45 days, he has remained wilfully disobedient and is displaying open contempt of the highest Court in the country. Till today, more than 50 days after the deadline, not even 5% of the debris has been removed.
If we have enemies like them, who needs a Pakistan or any other enemy?
We the members of New link Road Residents Forum are constantly monitoring the developments in Survey 344 from our terraces and keeping all authorities informed as to the actual ground reality. The 430 acres of mangroves are among the last surviving green lungs for our city right now witnessing record summer heat, highest recorded March temperatures in 55 years, all due to greedy builders like Jayesh Shah destroying green cover in Mumbai.
