Today as the World celebrated Environment day [2nd February 2013], some of us Forum members set out to enjoy the beautiful mangroves in Dahisar East. As we neared the mangroves, we were shocked to see a dumper truck coming out of the road leading into the mangroves!
We made the dumper to stop and called the Police, who came within 15 minutes.
We asked the driver to show us the site where he had dumped the debris which he said he brought from Charkop. Another man who was with the driver went to call the people behind the dumping. A certain Mr. Patil turned up on his bike, and the Police took down his details as well.
This is where he had dumped the debris in CRZ-NDZ at Dahisar East.
We made sure the Police took action and impounded the dumper.
