Almost three years after the New Link Road Residents Forum busted a milk adulteration racket in Borivali run by Andhra natives, 4 held for milk adulteration in Kandivali.

Mumbai: 10th July 2013 Times of India

Four men who were allegedly adulterating milk in Kandivli (E) for the last 18 months were arrested on Tuesday, 9th July 2013.

Equipment used for opening and resealing packets and 454 litres of adulterated
milk, collectively worth Rs 15,417, were seized. Krishnayya Aakula (36), Murli Ali (19), Chandrayya Gorat (20) and Virayya Charavayya (20), all Andhra natives, were arrested from Poisar around 4am.

“We suspect their families, including women and children, were helping them. There’s a possibility of a bigger racket,” said an official. TNN

We request residents to check the milk packets for signs of tampering at the edges and inform us on newlinkroad@gmail.com
